SUSTAINABLE DESIGNER PRODUCTS I FASHION’S RESPONSE TO THE CLIMATE EMERGENCY

In the last couple of years fashion companies have focused their resources and research on finding new materials that are sustainable, biodegradable and have zero impact on the planet. These materials are made from corn, apple, bamboo fibres, cacti and even fungi. This is part of a movement that fights against fast fashion, short-lived trends and single use clothing. Alternatives such as conscious fashion, responsible fashion, sustainable fashion, and of course vegan or cruelty free fashion are gaining popularity. These alternatives also have a beneficial effect on animal well-being and don’t use materials of animal origin.

A NEW AUDIENCE EMERGES, THE VALUE OF SUSTAINABILITY

Some people are aware that to change the world they have to start with themselves, and thanks to this mentality there is a growing interest in sustainable cosmetics, food, tourism and fashion among others. Thanks to this increase in demand, new initiatives and projects have been formed to fill the gap in the market.

TRANSPARENCY IN SUSTAINABLE FASHION

A product’s traceability gives important information such as where the materials came from or how they will be recycled. Complete transparency for the consumer is necessary. When talking about sustainability we can’t ignore the importance of location. Buying national or local products has risen in popularity lately, and Covid-19 has changed the way we consume. Multinational companies are choosing to move their work locations from remote countries such as China or Vietnam to closer locations to avoid delays in the delivery chain. There is still a lot of work to be done in this field, but fortunately many Spanish companies are choosing to carry out the manufacturing process in Spain.

Vegan and ecological fashion

We are a vegan, ecological brand with unisex pieces that provide comfort at the same time as offering a minimalist and timeless design. We are transparent about the entire manufacturing process and committed to providing an honest, sustainable and respectful product. The entire process takes place in Spain and our factory uses 85% solar energy and ensures an efficient use of water.

VEGAN AND CRUELTY FREE FASHION

All of our products have the PETA and INESCOP certification, are vegan and free from animal cruelty and they meet the strictest quality standards. We choose to use recycled materials of plant origin that still offer the same standards of longevity and comfort throughout the life cycle of the product.

Biodegradable fashion

We use biodegradable materials made from apple and corn to make our boots and bags, as well as recycled nylon and PU foam, with a 68% of bio-based mass content. We also use recycled plastic bottles for the soles, 100% organic cotton and water based dyes. All of our packaging and merchandising is designed from recycled cardboard. All of the materials we use are high quality and long lasting, the ideal choice for conscious and sustainable fashion.
